Issues of External Genital Appearance
In girls, some congenital conditions can cause an abnormal appearance of the external genitalia. Congenital conditions that affect the shape and appearance of the labia can also be corrected through aesthetic surgery performed by urologist Karen E. Boyle, M.D., who is also the Director of Chesapeake Aesthetic Surgery.
Aesthetic surgery can correct the look and, in some cases, the function of the genital area, which can help adolescents–especially those who are self conscious of the appearance of their genitalia due to congenital urologic conditions.
